Soap and Glory Matte-Lip 3D Lip Colour & Sculpt

Hi Guys,

Soap and Glory is a company I know and love well when it comes to bath products, however for makeup, they're not a brand I've tried too much of. However they definitely have some gems in the collection, including the brand new Sexy Mother Pucker Matte Lip 3D Lip Colour & Sculpt Crayons.
After the success of the original Gloss Stick's (which are ones to add to the shopping list!), it's great to see a matte formulation. I've only picked up two shades at the moment, but I can see me adding more to the collection with there being six shades to choose from. There's a wide range of colours from purple, orange and pinks.

The packaging is matte to go along with the formula, I think it feels a lot more expensive than they actually are. Plus it's handy to have matching colours for the packaging, just like the bullets, so when you're routing round in your handbag for a certain shade, they're quite easy to spot. One thing you'll notice however is that they're quite tiny compared to other lip crayons on the market, but they still hold 1.4g of product, which is pretty good for the price.
You really don't need a lot of product when applying them either, they are pigmented well and are easy to apply. Between a combination of the style of bullet and the formulation, they glide onto the lip, with no tugging at all. I love that Soap and Glory have gone for a more traditional pointed flat edge for the bullet, it means you can have more precision when applying and you can get into the corners  of the mouth easily.

The formula is creamy and doesn't dry out the lip once applied, they don't feel uncomfortable on either. Which sometimes with a matte formulation it can be quite frustrating to wear. However I love the ease of these, the two colours I have are Choccoberry; which is a rosy pink and Pretty Muted; a candy pink.
(Swatches: Top Left to Bottom Left - Fire Cracker, Berry Much, Whoah Pink & Ember Red. Top Right - Choccoberry & Pretty Muted.)
Plus they come in at £3.50 each! Which kind of justifies collecting them all...

They're available at Boots.

Big News & an Update!

Hi Guys,

I've been a bad blogger this year and really not stuck with my blogging goal of posting regularly! Now that's actually an understatement haha. However things are going to change, starting from Sunday I have two weeks off from work, ready to binge write posts to my heart's content!

I have had so many idea's for posts and just no time to do them, so I am super excited to get on and start posting again. Especially with some more budget friendly posts coming up and just trying a few new bits and bobs. I've really missed the blogger community and I'm prepared to get back into the loop. I'm also going to try and pre write some posts too so that if another busy spell of work and college hits, my blog won't take the downfall from that.

But things are brightening up, my assignment folders are handed in, I'm getting into a routine at my new job and maybe most excitingly...
I've made the finals for the Illamasqua Student competition!! Which means the absolute world to me, as if you've been reading my blog for a while, its no secret how much I love Illamasqua. So to be recognised by them for my work, is just insane! Especially as I probably wouldn't of learnt as much as I have or of even been as inspired as I am to follow a career in makeup artistry, the support they have given to me over the years has been amazing and this is just the cherry on top!

It's now down to the public votes, which shut at 5pm GMT on Monday the 29th of February. If you could spare a little like for my look over at the Illamasqua Facebook page - HERE, I really wouldn't be able to thank you enough for the help to reach the final goal! To get to train in their school of makeup artistry would be a dream come true!

Here's to exciting times and new posts ahead!
