Zoella Beauty for Christmas

Hi Guys,

As well as Tanya Burr having a Christmas Range this year, Zoella has one too! Unlike Tanya's who's is more makeup based, Zoe's is fantastic to have a little pamper with some body care treats.
I love the packaging of Zoe's things, it's so cute and almost vintage, but is still nice and bright and of course rose gold too. Quite a few bits in the range are brilliant for being able to reuse the packaging too. Which as I love as it almost kills me to have to throw any of it away it's so lovely.

The entire range itself is made up of eight pieces, with a mix of new products and much loved favourites. But as well as that there is also two products, both being exclusives, to either Superdrug or Feel Unique.
First up is the So Cute Coffret Set - £12 which includes a full size Blissful Mistful Body Mist, which is actually usually £8 itself. As well as a good sized travel size Creamy Madly Dreamy Body Lotion too, both are the original scent, which is probably my favourite scent that Zoe has done. It's light and floral, perfect for during the day. Also in the set is a little mint green and white polka dot headband, which you could wear during the day, but I think I'm going to favour it for keeping my hair up while having a pamper!

There is also the Cosy Toesy Bath Soak & Shower Cream - £10, which in this one you get again another 100ml sized Soak Opera Bath Soak & Shower Cream. Which although it is more of a bubble bath product, I quite like the idea of just using it as a foot soak and then popping on the little fluffy slippers included. Plus they match the headband, in the mint green and white polka dot print.
Possibly one of the most exciting products in the whole range for me is the All That Glimmers Powder Puff with Dusting Shimmer - £9, as if I needed anymore shimmer. But not only is it shimmery it shares that same original scent too, the dream! It's quite clever as the puff actually has the shimmer inside, so you don't have to make a mess with it trying to dip it in a loose shimmer powder. It just disperses how much is needed, so it's quick and convenient.

A great little stocking filler from the range is the
Two Balmy Lip Balm Trio - £5, two lip balms, both of different scents and each scent is a different shade too. There's the Vanilla Cream which is in a red shade. Then there is also the Sweet Mint which is the nude shade. Both colours are really well pigmented and you can build them up into more of a lipstick kind of finish rather than just as a sheerer balm.
The jar of Bath Bombini's Bath Fizzers - £10 is a new addition to the line up, although the Fizz Bars have always been in the collection, theres never been bath bombs as such. They're still similar to the bars, but a little less messy than trying to break them up. You can reuse the jar again and again too, fill it up with whatever you like, its glass so it's nice and sturdy too.

Though if you're a fan of the original Fizz Bar's theres the Mini Fizz Bar Trio - £7. All three share the same scent, again its the usual original scent, but each one is individually wrapped in a slightly different design, just to make it that bit more fun.

The first exclusive is from Feel Unique, where they have the Fairest of Them All Travel Pass and Compact Mirror - £6. Its such a handy little thing, great if you travel on the tube or have a travel pass for else where. Plus its got a great little mirror inside too, perfect for when you don't have a compact handy.

The second exclusive is from Superdrug and not really a product of sorts, but instead a Zoella Gift Bag - £2.49. So if you want to stick with theme, if buying for someone else, it's really nice to just pop it in the gift bag. Then it's all set for Christmas and quick and easy too.
Finally it's the big one, the Awesome Drawersome Bathing Collection - £50. This jumbo set of drawers, which I love the design of this one in particular, includes a 100ml Creamy Madly Dreamy Body Lotion, 100ml Butter Me Up Body Butter, 100ml Flowers and Showers Shower Gel, 100ml Soak Opera Bath Soak, two mini Fizz Bars, a shower puff and a really handy coin purse too. The Body Butter, Shower Gel, Purse and Shower Puff are all exclusive to this drawer set too.

My Five Favourite Glitter Polishes

Hi Guys,

Christmas time is the perfect excuse for a bit of sparkle, not that an excuse is needed for glitter though. It's always nice to have a nice new manicure for the festive season and one of the easiest ways to wear glitter too. Wether its to add a little something to being at home in your pyjamas on Christmas Day or having a Christmas night out, I love glitter for it all.
I tend to go between different styles and finishes of glitter, there's so many different options, there's a glitter out there to suit everyone. They don't all have to be a nightmare to remove, although sadly quite a few are, though I always think its worth the few extra minutes of soaking my nails in remover.  Though they're always quite speedy to apply, practically all the glitter formulations I've tried dry quicker than usual polishes, making them some of the best for a quick manicure.
I love the mix of colours in Barry M Masquerade, I think it's a great one to carry you right through to New Year's too. It's a really fine glitter, made up of sky blue, purple, red and gold. The ratio of glitter to the nail polish base is always one of the best when it comes to Barry M polishes, there's always enough glitter to get a really good nearly opaque coating of glitter in two to three coats. They're also long lasting and don't chip easily at all.

Another fantastic one for the same quality reasons is Models Own Pink Fizz. It's another one that has a good amount of glitter inside and you can get a good level of opacity from it too. The main difference between the two, is that Pink Fizz is a chunkier glitter, but has an almost smooth finish to it due to the formulation of the base polish.
Illamasqua Raindrops is possibly my favourite of them all and yet its not really what you would probably think of when you say its a glitter polish. It's made up of a white matte glitter, in a grey polish base. It adds more texture than it does sparkle, but I kinda like that, especially with the tone of it suiting the colder months. Plus its actually Illamasqua's best selling polish too!

Although such a simple glitter polish, Deborah Lipmann Ruby Red Slippers is just gorgeous. It screams Christmas and luxury too. It's not cheap, but the quality overall is worth the price tag. It looks like a raspberry toned glitter in a blacked base colour in the bottle, however when on its a jelly raspberry base colour, with a slightly brighter raspberry glitter.

Another best seller this time for Ciate is Antique Brooch, it's a champagne shade, made up of very fine gold shimmer, which then also includes a chunkier rose gold glitter too. It reflects so much light and has so much texture to it, you can build it up to the level of opacity that you like. But it still looks good wether you apply one coat or more, it's just got a good amount of pigmentation to it and one of the fastest drying ones too.
(Swatches: Left to Right - Pink Fizz, Raindrops, Masquerade, Ruby Red Slippers & Antique Brooch)
You can also now get base coats specially formulated for glitter, which mean instead of removing your polish with a traditional remover. You can now apply the base coat and peel off the glitter polish  once you're done with it, making glitter polish that bit faster!

A Cosy Netflix Night

Hi Guys,

There's nothing better than being tucked up in bed, with your favourite pyjamas and a big bundle of snacks, to go alongside a good selection of Netflix favourites. Especially now during the winter, its nice to be cosy and relax with a new film or binge watch a series. So I thought I'd share a few of mine that I've been loving recently...
The newest Netflix Original series is Jessica Jones, which is kind of like a spinoff from Daredevil (also brilliant by the way!). It's a Marvel series based on superhero Jessica, who has turned private investigator, after being influenced by the villain of the series Kilgrave, who can verbally control anyone he likes. He is played fantastically by David Tennant, it's a really dark series and possibly one of the darkest characters I've ever seen him play. Though just as a bit of a warning, it does get quite distressing at some points it's got such dark themes, just incase you would like to look into that a bit more. I don't want to spoil it though!

After watching it though, I did want to watch more of David Tennant, so I also found The Decoy Bride. Its a romantic comedy film, based on a writer (David Tennant) who is set to marry the number one actress of the moment. However their wedding plans don't exactly go to plan and they end up fleeing to a little island in the Scottish Hebrides to get married. Though when there, the wedding plans go a teeny bit off track too, resulting in a decoy bride and a hilarious love story.

Another film I absolutely love and have rediscovered on Netflix, is Chalet Girl, another romantic comedy, this time starring Ed Westwick and Felicity Jones. Seeing as Gossip Girl is over I still just want to binge watch anything Chuck Bass related. Felicity is equally as great with some fantastic lines throughout the film, it's one of those ones that you just want to rewatch over and over again.

I'd also really recommend Once Upon a Time, I've just started the second series and its one of those ones I just cant stop watching. I cant say I was won over straight away, although Jamie Dornan does appear, its one to stick with and is really interesting to see how all the story book characters intertwine! Im looking forward to getting through this one!

The Christmas Jumper

Hi Guys,

I cant say I have always been a fan of the Christmas Jumper, until last year and now Im always on the look out to see which ones are about. There are some fantastic designs this year, I personally favour more of the slogan, cute print type of jumpers, over the more comical type ones.
I've found five so far, all with little details that make me love them even more. I love any jumper with a intricate or subtle design, wether its Christmas themed or not, but I think the Primark Gingerbread Jumper - £14 is in the Christmas spirit, while not being too much. There's also a really cute penguin design too on a grey jumper, plus the appliqué is nice and fluffy.

Something not so fluffy but still adorable is dressing up like a present! It's much more appealing when you get to dress up in a copper bow. The H&M Sequinned Bow Jumper - £14.99 I think is more of a grown up jumper in a way and you could also wear it all festive season.

I love the little bit of comedy that comes with the Topshop Dear Santa Jumper - £28, its just nice and simple with the quote. But it catches your eye, its not really your typical Christmas slogan, but one I'm sure is probably used quite a bit over the Christmas period!

A Childhood favourite of mine when it came round to Christmas, was always to watch Home Alone. It's one of those films, that I think practically everyone has seen and the quote on the Boohoo Eva Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal Jumper - £15 is one that is instantly recognisable. It's like wearing a little bit of childhood in a jumper.

Although another one thats probably equally iconic, its not Christmas until the Holidays are Coming Advert has been on! You cant help but get excited over seeing it and I get that same bit of excitement knowing theres the New Look Black Coca Cola Jumper - £17.99. I still haven't seen the advert! So the jumper is helping curb the Holiday's are Coming wishes!
