Illamasqua Sale Haul

Hi Guys,

I feel like I've fallen off the face of the blogging universe recently. It's been one of those breaks that just kept getting longer and longer and you're not really sure how it happened. Coursework and a new job has gotten the better of me, but hopefully once my coursework is handed in on Tuesday morning we'll be back to some sort of routine! Anyway I thought how else can I start the new year, but with a bit of Illamasqua...
Like Last Year, I went a little nuts over the Illamasqua sale, I actually feel quite restrained over this one compared to last year. I'm not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing though! However the Illamasqua sale is just too good to pass up on.
Luickly in the sale there were a couple of items that I keep meaning to pick up from Illamasqua, but just never actually did it. So to get it in the sale is fantastic, these included the Eyebrow Cake in Motto. Brilliant for blondes and a nice switch if you usually use Thunder like me, It's cooler and quite subtle.
I also grabbed the Vintage Metallix in Galaxy, which was part of the Equinox Collection, however it was exclusive to Selfridges and Illamasqua Online. So I never picked it up when I purchased the other pieces from the collection.

However something I have picked up before is the Pure Pigment in Draco, which again is from the Earth Collection. But I just love this stuff. I love all the Pure Pigments, but Draco has a special place in my heart, so back ups are 'of course' needed...
When I first found out that Illamasqua had collaborated with Virgin Airlines, to create a lipstick to be worn alongside Vivienne Westwood suits, I was suddenly convinced I needed a new red lipstick. However in reality I didn't, so I talked my way out of it. But when I saw Virgin in the sale, I couldn't put it off any longer. Especially with it being part of the Glamore Lipstick Range, which are incredible for pigment and lasting power, while still being moisturising.

Another product I really recommend trying are the Sheer Lip Glosses, they're not sticky and still pack a good amount of colour. They have a fantastic range of colours in the sale too, including Opulent, an amazing sparkly beige. Which I grabbed for my kit as its beautiful mixed with other colours as well as on its own. As well as Lily Rose, a bright blue toned pink, with just the right amount of colour.
It took me years to try any Illamasqua Brushes and I wish I'd done it sooner, they are phenomonal brushes and extremely versatile. So the Brush Kit's in Silver and Black were an amazing bargain as they were, let alone that they're now 70% off.
I think the Nail Polishes from Illamasqua are unsung gems, they're so creative with their colours and have some beautiful classics too. I think I was going for a pruple/green theme with this one though. Muse is a creamy deep teal, Speckle; a mini egg pastel purple, Jo'Mina; a bright creamy lilac and Milf a pretty mint.
(Swatches: Left to Right - Lily Rose, Opulent, Virgin, Draco, Galaxy & Motto)
The Illamasqua Sale is on until stores shut in Liverpool Met Quarter, London Beak St and Leeds Victoria Quarter until this Sunday. But the sale is also still available online at Illamasqua.com until 10am on Monday.
