Boots Advent Calender Weekly Round up! #3

Hi Guys,

It's so strange but today is the last day of blogmas! Its been so much fun, although stressful and a bit of a mess at times, but I made it to the 24th! Minus the two days I was ill... I've loved doing it, but I think my normal uploading schedule is going to resume for a while haha while I take a break!

17th - Soap and Glory Flake Away Scrub
As you probably know by now, I'm a Soap and Glory-A-Holic and I have been desperate to try this scrub as I think its one of very few I haven't tried yet, So hopefully this will become my new favourite summer time one as my winter time one is Breakfast Scrub!

18th - Ghost Moonlight
I'm pretty sure I got a Ghost fragrance just the other week in this too.. not sure if I like this as I cant actually get it out...

19th - Carmex Lip Balm
This is probably the most disappointing Item for me this week, as I'm allergic to Carmex so this is going to do me no good. But that aside I know this is a very popular product and if it didn't cause me pain to wear it, I'd probably love it too.

20th - Mavala Nail Polish in Pure Diamond
Another Mavala Polish this week, not that I'm complaining as 1) its Christmas in a bottle 2) It's glittery and 3) It's holographic, So I'm excited to try this once I've got my gel nails off!

21st - Botanics Heat Protection Shine Serum
I've never tried any of the Boot's Botanics Range, I'm intrigued to try this, but at the same time not sure about the shine element, I find there's a fine line with blonde hair, either it makes it look shiny and wonderful or it looks unwashed. I'm hoping this will do the first option!

22nd - Nails Inc Polish in Porchester Road
A blogger Favourite! So I'm super excited to try this shade as so many people love it and I've been desperate to give it a go.

23rd - Umberto Giannini Backcomb in a Bottle
I was just thinking about doing something with my hair to give it more volume at the roots and I think this is basically what that is, a plumping spray? I'm not sure, I cant get it out of the Calender like the long list of other things...

24th - Seventeen Blow Out Mascara
I have such a massive list of mascara's to use up, I've never tried any of the seventeen ones, so once I get round to it, I'm hoping it'll be a good one!

Ciate Mini Mani Month

17th - Members Only
A baby pink shade with I think pink, silver and gold shimmer running through it.

18th - Tweed and Tails
A Khaki Green

19th -Sequin Dallas Dolly
A mixture of red, green and gold sequins in hexagons and strips

20th - Starlet
A dark blue with a purple shimmer running through it, it basically reminds me of a petrol spill

21st - Fit for a Queen
A basic silver shimmer shade

22nd - Hopscotch
A neon orange

23rd - Cupids Arrow Caviar Pearls
Pink, Purple and silver pearls

24th - Play Date
A neon pink similar to Hopscotch.

Well I hope you have a lovely Christmas, as by the time this goes up its nearly going to be Christmas day! I will have swatches up soon!

Merry Christmas!

My MAC Wishlist!

Hi Guys!,

I've never done a Wishlist post before so let me know if you like it, but basically I have such writing block and couldn't think of anything to do. Work has confused me with how many posts I had planned out! As you may know as well I have a MAC Wishlist longer than my arm, I just keep adding to it! So I thought I'd share my most wanted pieces with you!

Russian Red Lipstick

I have a new obsession with Matte Red Lips, I don't actually really own any red lipsticks as I find them hard to wear. I maybe have two proper red lipsticks? But I wouldn't say they're the best match for me. So after many swatches on the back of my hands at the MAC Store I've finally decided I have to get Russian Red as its a bit darker and has a blue tone to it.

217 Brush

I have always wanted a MAC brush, ever since watching YouTube and seeing some of my Idols like Pixiwoo, Pixi2woo and Nikkie Tutorials use them! The 217 has always seemed like quite a firm favourite of there's so now I have a MAC discount, I think its time I pick one up...

Pro Pan Eye Shadow's in Patina, Charcoal Brown, Sketch and Naked Lunch

I have a 15 Pan Pro Palette and I'm just five shades away from filling it! So after hitting pan on my Naked Lunch Single Shadow I think I need to pick up one of them, Then after reading Tanya Burr's Post on her MAC Palette I've decided I'd like to get Charcoal Brown, Patina and Sketch. I'm intrigued by Sketch as it seems slightly purple toned and I'm trying to get into wearing purples.

Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle

This again seems like a firm favourite in the Blogging World, I've never bought anything like this from MAC, I swatched it in the store the other day and now its wormed its way onto the list, I can see this becoming a firm favourite of mine if I get my hands on it!

I'd love to know if you like these types of posts because I've never really done one before and I'm not sure its something you'd like to read? Also let me know what is on your MAC Wishlist, You'll probably influence mine haha!

Mini Pre Christmas Haul!

Hi Guys!,

Firstly I'd just like to apologise for the mess my posts have been recently, working full time at work and at college has meant I don't get back to photograph things until its dark = orange toned pictures. Then last night my computer decided to die so I can't format my posts on my phone. So basically this haul post is going to be a bit of a mess until I can format it, sorry!

Now finally onto the post, it's not a very large haul I just needed to pick up a few things before Christmas, plus I love this new dress so I thought I'd show it to you anyway!

Firstly I popped into Primark, I've been eyeing up this dress for a few weeks now and never got it. So when my friend was trying a few things on the other day I thought I'd try it on, then I ended up buying it as I've convinced myself its my Christmas Day Dress! I think it's quite V classic though with the nude and the black, it's quite heavy too so it sits nicely plus it was only £13!

My mum had ordered a few nail polishes from Avon and has some how ended up with a free mascara too! So I've ended up with the Mascara which I can't complain about, I've never really tried Avon mascara's so I'm intrigued, the one I got is Super Extend Mascara.

Now you probably know by now what I'm like, a haul can't be a haul without a few Lush things! I only picked up a couple as I want to get some things in the sale! But to make sure I don't miss out on some favourites I thought I would stock up on the Bombardino Bath Balistic and the Golden Wonder Bath Balistic as well as a little guy who's appeared in practically every lush haul I've done, the Penguin Bubble Bar!

Once again I'm so sorry for how this post is, but I have no way of formatting it until my computer is fixed :( hopefully it will be soon though!

The Perfect Palette Tag!

Hi Guys!,

I saw this tag on NikkieTutorials Channel a few weeks ago, so as you probably know by now I love a good tag and after seeing this one I knew I had to do it!

Sorry that this post isn't formatted and currently doesn't have pictures, I'm having to do it on my phone as my computer is broken, so hopefully it'll be working tomorrow and I can fix my posts!

1. Best Packaging
I love the packaging of my Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. 4 Palette, it's not the most travel friendly as it is very chunky. but I can excuse that for the fact that it has built In speakers to show you tutorials of how to recreate looks and plus it has butterflies! Tons of them all popping out of the palette!

2. Best Color Payoff
This probably has to be my Illamasqua Fatale Palette, not only because of the amazing pigments, just the overall colours are amazing! Illamasqua always do amazing pigment In their shadows, you never need much it lasts so well.

3. Most Versatile
My most versatile palette has to be my NYX Butt Naked Palette, it's got eyeshadow, powder and blushes, oh and highlighter and Bronzer. It's just a great all rounder and I bet you can use a shade of shadow for your brows!

4. Best for Traveling
Best for Travelling just has to be my MAC Palette, it's just great to be able to choose the exact shadows I want to take and have them all in one case without having 20 million loose shadows everywhere! I have a shade for a highlight, matte, shimmer and an eyebrow shade!

5. Biggest Regret
This one is probably my Sleek Palette in Circus as Its all pretty much neon colours, which I've never used and probably won't use. You never know it might come in handy one day maybe.

6. Best Color Names
This has to be the hardest question as I actually can't think of any palettes which I think have amazing names, I wouldn't say I could pick one.

7. Least Used
This has to be my Clarins Essentials Palette, I was so obsessed with my Naked Palette when I got the clarins one I've kinda forgotten about it, plus it looks so pretty I don't want to ruin the colours!

8. Most Used
Most used has to be my Naked Palette, I go through such phases with it, one minute it's all I use for ages then suddenly nothing, but it's beginning to show how much it's been used for sure, I want it to be never ending though!

9. Most Loved
I just love my MAC palette so much, it's difficult to choose between my mac palette and my Naked Palette, but there's not a shade in my MAC Palette I don't use, I'm just in love with it haha!

10. Desert Island
Again it has to be my MAC Palette, I just couldn't live without it and its so versatile too, perfect for a desert island!

Hopefully this wasn't a boring tag for you to read and maybe you've heard about some new palettes from it. Sorry about the state the post is in at the moment, I will get it fixed! I will also tag some specific people once my computer is working and I can add links!

But for now I tag you! If your reading this and want to do it, then do it! Don't forget to leave me your versions too though!

Top 5 Christmas Glitter Nail Polishes!

Hi Guys,

A big part of christmas for me is glitter! Espeically glitter nail polish, Christmas is the time of year where its acceptable to drown everything in glitter. So I thought I would show you my favourite glitter polishes for this Christmas!

I've mostly kept it drug store but there's two more high end polishes which I couldn't not include and you've probably already heard me talking about before in previous posts!

1) Revlon 340 Stunning - £5.99 HERE
This is your more traditional glitter for this time of year, this is also a new polish for me as I won it from the lovely Emma Jane from Emma Belle Fashion, in her recent give away, So thank you again for bringing this beauty into my life haha! Its got Silver hexagon glitter suspended in almost iridescent and glitter in a clear polish. so you can build it up or layer it over maybe a red?

2) Nubar Brown Gold Glitter - £6.95 HERE
This one is a very huge favourite of mine as it dries literally like sand! It's so super sparkly and catches the light perfectly. even though its a clear polish base its packed full of a brown and gold and black specks of glitter which give an amazing finish when layered up!

3) Models Own Velvet Goth Absinthe - £5 HERE
This is less of a festive one, then again it is green and glittery, so maybe not. I like this one as its a bit different to the rest, its very matte yet textured and glittery, I think its just a bit different to the typical glitter sparkle!

4) Barry M Gold Dust - £3.99
I've done a full post on this one HERE, But I could do a Top 5 and not include a rose gold, Basically a gold and pink bar glitter in a clear polish again, but wow this is beautiful plus the packaging is so lovely too!

5) Ciate Snow Globe - £9 HERE
Snow Globe is one of those polishes with the iridescent flakes, layer it up over a polish and watch how the colour changes when it catches the light due to the colours in the flakes changing the tone of the polish underneath. I love this type of polish and it just has such a festive name, it really is like snow!

*SWATCHES WILL BE UP TOMORROW MORNING HOPEFULLY*

I hope maybe you've seen a new glitter polish for Christmas from this, as even though I love my Christmas nail art, sometimes you just don't have time to do something fiddly which is where glitter steps in!

Christmas Minion Nail Art!

Hi Guys,

I thought I'd try kind of a tutorial today, I'll give it a go, its for festive nail art but with a twist... Which you've probably already seen from the title... That its festive minions! So hopefully this is quite a quick and easy little tutorial for you!

Two of my favourite things, Christmas + Minions = Festive Minion Nail Art obviously... haha. I've tried to keep it very affordable also, after buying all the Christmas presents this is a nice treat to yourself!

Also sorry about the awful photos, again this winter lighting is making things rather difficult and the picture of my awful looking hand had to be taken in quite a rush at college! Sorry!

What I used:

Barry M Nail Paint in Lemon Ice Cream
Ciate Paint Pot in Boudoir
Barry M Nail Art Pens in Black, Silver and White

Oh and don't forget a base coat and a top coat too!

Step 1: Apply your chosen base coat and then follow with two coats of Barry M Lemon Ice Cream.

Step 2: Once the yellow has completely dried, paint on a block of red at the bottom of your nail and at the cuticle end of your nail. Make sure to leave enough room for your minions features in the middle though!

Step 3: Take the White Barry M Nail Art Pen, Once both the blocks of red have dried and draw a line over where the red block at the cuticle meets the yellow. That's your Santa hat done! Put a big white dot in the centre but top of the yellow in the centre of your nail. You might need to go over it again too so it stands out!

Then take your Black Barry M Nail Art Pen and draw a line where the yellow meets the red on your other block of red. put two diagonal lines going from this to either sides of your finger to make little straps for the uniform. Then draw two lines from your White dot for his eyeball and take them to either sides of your finger!

Step 4: To finish him off, put a little black dot in the centre of the white, Then take your Barry M Silver Nail Art Pen and draw round the white dot to create his glasses rim, Also draw a little rectangle for his belt buckle. Then finally once the belt buckle is dry, add a even tinier square of black in the centre of the silver!

Add a swipe of your top coat to seal the little design in place and there you go! Minion Nails all ready for Christmas!

I hope this isn't too confusing and that you like it! Let me know if you do!

High End Make Up Dupes!

Hi Guys,

I thought I'd do a bit of a different post today and see what dupes I have in my make up collection, I might do a few of these little posts over time, today I've got a few MAC dupes I found!

Some of the dupes are more colour wise and some just texture and similarity wise as I don't have everything in the same shade but they're still dupes of each other.

Clinique vs MUA
Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Hefty Hibiscus is very similar to the MUA Power Pout in Runway, packaging wise and shade wise, plus with a £14 difference they are surprisingly similar! I have to admit the Clinique one just wins of pigmentation and lasting power but I find the Power Pout's are just a teeny bit more hydrating!

* I HAVE COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN TO TAKE A PHOTO OF THESE TWO SO ONE WILL BE UP VERY SOON, SORRY!*

Urban Decay vs ELF
I have to admit I much prefer the ELF Eyelid Primer over the Urban Decay Primer Potion, The ELF one on me lasts a lot longer and is saving me which is insane! I do prefer the packaging of the Urban Decay ones but the products in side are identical!

MAC vs MUA
Red Shadows are very hard to find on the drug store market and during this time of year MAC Cranberry is a firm blogger favourite, I think I've found a very close dupe for a fraction of the price. Aka MUA Single Shadow in Shade 25 Pearl. I've only just bought Cranberry due to having the MUA Shade, Cranberry doesn't cause as much drop down and is slightly darker but for a pound you cant really argue with MUA.

Make Up Forever  vs Rimmel
Make Up Forever is notoriously hard to find over here in the UK and when you do track it down it is very expensive! So I was very happy when I realised the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeliner in Bronze is a dupe for the MUFA Aqua Eyes Waterproof Pencil in 2L. I cant find either of them lasting for a certain amount of time over the other. So if your in the UK or just don't fancy forking out £13.50 for the MUFA one, Rimmel is the place to go!

Chanel vs ELF
I love the Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Cream Eye shadow's  My purse however does not. So when I picked up the E.L.F Long Lasting Lustrous Eye shadows I was very intrigued! As looks wise these seem very similar, yes the Chanel one does feel a lot more smooth and luxurious but these E.L.F ones are pretty amazing themselves and pack a punch of pigment!

MAC vs Revlon
My last dupe is for one of my all time favourite lipsticks, MAC's Girl About Town! Its a very bright fuchsia toned pink and the Revlon Lip Butter in Lollipop gives it a run for its money! The MAC one is more pigmented as its a lipstick and not a butter, But saying that the Lip Butters are very pigmented, more moisturising and practically the same shade, Plus you could build up the layers of it and probably make it as intense as girl about town if you wanted to!

(Swatches: Left to Right - MUA Shade 25, MAC Cranberry, MUA Runway, Clinique Heftiest Hibiscus, Rimmel Bronze, MUFA 2L, Revlon Lollipop and MAC Girl About Town)

I hope you've enjoyed this post, I tried to keep the extremely obvious dupes out and I do know of a few others I just don't have their high end rivals! But maybe I'll do another one of these posts with a few more in the future if you've liked this!

The Winter Wonderland Tag

Hi Guys!,
As I'm taking part in #Blogmas, the lovely Ali, over at The Cute Little Beauty Blog, sent round an email with this great winter and christmas themed tag that she's created and you know what I'm like with tags!

1What Winter holiday do you celebrate?
Christmas! We don't have Thanksgiving in the UK, and does New Years Eve count as a Winter Holiday? As in Scotland it's called Hogmanay and I celebrate that!
2. What is the one item you hope to receive as a present for Christmas or another Holiday?
I already know one of my presents as my mum didn't know which one to get and its the Canon 600D, so I'm super excited to get that and hopefully that'll mean better pictures on here! Woohoo! I'd be really happy to get any make up though or hopefully a little bit of funds for my MAC list!
3. Gingerbread Cookies or Candy Canes?
Candy Canes! I think I may be the only person in the world who doesn't like the taste of gingerbread.
4. Snowball fights or Sledding?
Sledding definitely it's Less cold if that's even possible and hurts less haha.
5. What is your go to Winter Outfit?
Definitely my Henry Holland Jeans, My Next Long Black Boots, my H&M Bobble Hat and my H&M Star Burgundy Scarf. Probably a old favourite to go with it will be my Cream Cable Knit Jumper from Primark, Which I really have to replace!
6. What are your favourite Winter/Holiday makeup items?
This is a tough one currently MAC Woodwinked Shadow, Maybeline Baby Lips in Hydrate, Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in 107, Maybe MAC Mulch and Cranberry soon too! There's probably tons more I've not even thought of.
7. Does it snow where you live?
Yes just mostly in January  then it unfortunately turns to ice and sludge quite quickly, which is great when your running to college and almost break your neck..
8. What is your favourite Christmas song/ holiday song?
Is it strange that I don't have one? This isn't a favourite but Michael Buble's Christmas Album is always played since like start of November in my house haha.
9. What is your favourite holiday movie?
Again I don't really have a favourite, I usually watch the same ones every year that I end up kinda sick of watching them, I do like the Santa Claus Film Series and the Grinch. Actually no my favourite Christmas Film is Eloise at Christmas Time! I have my own film haha!
10. What are your favourite holiday decorations?
This is a very recent favourite and some of you may know him, Rufus the Reindeer!

I tag you all to have a go at this tag! Leave me a comment with your links if you do it or you can tweet me at @MallowBeauty I love reading and finding new blogs!

Boots and Ciate Advent Calender Weekly Round up! #2

Hi Guys,

This is the second part of three in my Boots Beauty Advent Calender Series which then has added on the Ciate Mini Month Calender, where I'm showing what I got in the Advent Calendar and what my little mini review/ first impressions on each product is! If you haven't seen the first part of this its - HERE.

* SORRY FOR THE AWFUL PHOTOS, I WILL HAVE BETTER QUALITY ONES REPLACING THESE ONES ON WEDNESDAY HOPEFULLY!*

9th - Seventeen Shine Nail Polish in Miami
This Calender knows me well, One of my most used colours is this bright pink fuchsia shade, I've never tried the Seventeen Nail Varnishes so I'll give this one a go and maybe I'll "need" to buy more!

10th - Orly Bonder Base Coat
I was very excited to see this, I love Orly Nail Polish and I'm just about to run out of my current O.P.I Base Coat, so this is great timing!

11th - Ghost Fragrance
I've never smelt this so I'm Intrigued, usually I get perfume samples and fall in love and they're always the expensive ones! I will sniff this, but its firmly wedged in the advent calender..

12th - Boots Nail Shine Solution
After the reading the back of the box, seeing as this is one of the only things I've managed to carve from the calender... this seems to be a base coat but primarily a polish to make your nails look shiny and healthier on its own.

13th  - Vichy LiftActiv Serum
What I gather about this is that its a serum for your eyes and lashes? I'll have to look a bit more into it, but I currently cant get it out of the advent calender just like the Ghost Fragrance.

14th - Juicy Couture Perfume in Couture La La
I've tried a few Juicy Couture Fragrance samples before and liked them, I know this sounds a bit stupid but is anyone else put off of them a bit just due to the bottle? Please say I'm not the only one! I look forward to giving this a sniff though, might have to add it to the very long fragrance list that's amounting!

15th - Seventeen Tattoo Me 48hr Eye liner
48hr Eye liner? I cant say I'd keep the same make up on for 48hr's so I'm not too sure if this lives to its claim. I cant actually do liquid liner and I want to start to try to, So I'll probably give this one a go and you'll probably see a review in a short while if I love it! Cant say it'll include a test of wearing it for 48hr's though haha!

16th -  Spotty Nail File
Well this is pretty straight forward, its just a pink and white dotty nail file basically.

Ciate Mini Mani Month

9th - Candy Floss
A baby Barbie blue toned pink.

10th - Caviar Pearls in Silver
Pretty straight forward, just the beads in a plain silver.

11th - Pepperminty
A blue toned peppermint green, One of my all time favourite nail shades!

12th - Caviar Pearls in Metallic Gold
Again just the nail beads but this time in Gold.

13th  - Encore!
A red toned orange, which slightly looks brown, its kind of a terracotta shade.

14th - Ivory Queen
A lovely peach shade with a very fine gold sparkle running through it.

15th - Glitter in Twinkle Toes
A very finely milled Silver Holographic Glitter.

16th - Chinchilla
A blue toned grey shade.

(Swatches: Left to Right - Candy Floss, Pepperminty, Encore!, Ivory Queen and Chinchilla)

My favourite two products this week will have to be the Orly Bonder Base Coat and the Ciate Glitter in Twinkle Toes, This week's things have defiantly been very nail themed, obviously so in the Ciate Calender but the boots one has four nail products in it too this week!

December Glossybox!

Hi Guys,

Sorry I've been a bit of a fail at Blogmas and not posted these past few days, but I've been sick all weekend and haven't really had the energy to take blog photos and everything else unfortunately but don't worry I'm not planning on missing another day and my Glossybox arrived yesterday! So I thought that would be a nice post to get me back into my blogging routine!

December boxes aka Christmas Glossyboxes to me have always been some of the best ones, so you can probably imagine how excited I get over the December boxes haha!

In the Glossy Mag this month there's a feature about behind the scenes of the X Factor for the hair and make up, I got rather excited when I saw sleek mentioned in there!

Plus the packaging of this box is so beautiful, I love the Candy Cane Tissue paper!

1) Lipsy London Fragrance in Glam - £25 for 50ml
If you've read my past Glossybox Posts, You'll know I suck at describing fragrance haha! Plus team that with a cold and this weekend I cant really smell a thing, So on the packet it says nothing about the fragrance.. I'll have to let you know once I can finally smell again sorry!

2) Beautiful Movements Cosmetics Nude Lipgloss - £12 for 8ml
Ive had a few products from this brand before as its by Kimberly Wyatt from the Pussycat Dolls, I love the packaging of this and its a pretty good sample size at 4ml, I put a bit on the back of my hand and it doesn't seem sticky and is quite sheer and very wearable.

3) Wilkinson's Sword Intuition Naturals Razor - £6.49
When I first opened the box, I straight away said it smelt amazing! I'm pretty sure its down to this, I must admit I find it a bit of a weird one to be in the box but its very handy and I'm sure I'll probably use it, It's a bit different from a shower gel or a moisturiser too!

4) Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo in Turquoise Forever - £4.99
I got so excited about getting a Maybelline product, then I saw this, I love the Colour Tattoo's but in Blue... I have Blue eyes, NEVER EVER wear blue eye shadow so god knows what I'm going to do with this, This was my biggest disappointment in the box just because of the shade sadly.

5) Seche Nail Lacquer in Dives In Head First - £9.95 for 14ml
Ive got a Seche Nail Lacquer in a past box, which I admit isn't really my colour, but they've hit the nail on the head with this one, I have so many variations of this shade its mad haha. So I can see me getting a lot of use out of this and it just reminds me that I have to try Seche Vite!

* I will have swatches up very soon, I just wanted to have natural light for them!*

I must admit this box has disappointed me a bit, but mainly because I think I get so excited over the December box, Plus I was super excited about the maybelline product which has been a bit of a let down sadly. But I'll use the other four products in the box so it's not all bad. Also if I've counted correctly four of the products are all full size which is pretty amazing.

ELF Cream Eye Shadow Duo

Hi Everyone,

I found these in the back of a drawer just over a month ago, You know when you buy something and just think hm they're ok I'll use it at some point, and toss them to the back? That's what I did with these, If only I'd rediscovered them sooner.

Butter Pecan:
I'd say this is a more amber and red based brown duo, both work lovely together and the amber slightly reminds me of MAC Rubenesque in colouring when sheered out.
Mocha Swirl:
A taupe based iced shade with a chocolate brown partner, After looking at the swatches again I really like this taupe shade and may have to get more use out of it.
Coffee and Cream:
An Iced white shade with a darker brown, suits the name well, I really like the brown in this duo.

Berry Mix:
Burgundy and iced pink combination, the pink is less pigmented but the burgundy has quite a good colour.
Sugar Cookie:
A more barbie pink and yellow based gold, More pigmented than the iced pink, the gold looks really nice sheered out.
Egg Plant:
A forest Green and Purple pairing, One of the more pigmented ones of the bunch.

(Swatches: Left to Right - Egg Plant, Sugar Cookie and Berry Mix)
(Swatches: Left to Right - Butter Pecan, Mocha Swirl and Coffee and Cream)

Yes I must admit they're not the greatest cream shadow I've ever come across, but for just £1.50 they are pretty good, the pigment in them surprised me quite a bit. I've loved them when they're sheer though, plus they're easy to mix and build up too.

You can get all these colours here.

My Current Make Up Bag!

Hi Guys,

I was thinking about posts to do and maybe to do something a bit different to my usual reviews and things, so I thought why not show you what Make Up I've been wearing/ What's in my make up bag! This is basically what I've mainly been wearing at work and at college recently, especially for college.

Now I completely forgot about foundation and everything for this so I've currently been using the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in Ivory also mixed with Rimmel Match Perfection in Light Porcelain to make it lighter as I'm so pale! Plus I'm still loving the NYC Primer too!

Eye wise I've gotten really into the winged liner, which I could never do but I've been practising and they are still kinda wonky but I'm rather pleased with how its turned out. To do the winged liner I've been using the Ben Nye Eye liner Cake in Black, but shhh its from my kit!

With that I've gone back to one of my favourite eye shadow combo's MAC's Naked Lunch (Which I think I'm going to have to replace soon at this rate!) and Satin Taupe. To go with those I've liked wearing Cork through the crease of my eye too.

Lastly on the eyes I've liked the Barry M Lash Vegas Mascara, I have to admit I really didn't like this at first, but I've found if I wipe a lot of the excess off of the wand it does look really good! Oh and I cant forget my Illamasqua Brow Cake in Thunder for the Brows, Love this stuff!

Cheek wise I've gone back to my favourite blusher, Illamasqua Unrequited! Illamasqua have to re release this! Even though I've been using it for around a year and hardly dented it, I'm going to be very disappointed when it finally runs out! Plus I've loved the much loved Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair too!

Finally for the lips I've had many options, In the past few days I've loved the Baby Lips by Maybelline in Cherry Me as its been great when working long days doing the make up for the pantomime at college! Very Moisturising while still adding colour!

Then before that I loved the Rimmel Stay Glossy in Non Stop Glamour, It tastes good, Looks amazing and isn't sticky! I love the Stay Glossy Line! Then I also loved the NYX Lip gloss in Biege which you may of seen me talk about in my monthly favourites - HERE, I still love it for the same reasons. Then finally for the lips under the two lip glosses I've still been loving the Body Shop Lip Butter in Pink Grape Fruit, It just tastes so good!

(Swatches: Left to Right - Non Stop Glamour, Beige, Cherry Me, Unrequited, Naked Lunch, Cork and Satin Taupe)

I hope you like this kind of post! If you do let me know and I'd love to hear your ideas for posts you want to see too!

Mini Beauty Haul

Hi Guys,

I went shopping again... Sorry this haul is so close to my Clothes Show Haul, it was suppose to go up before that but I forgot to upload it sorry!

Even though the title says mini, It was mini at first... This is a collective haul by the way I didn't buy it all in one go haha!

You might of seen from past posts I have the Cath Kidston Red Polka Dot Merry Christmas Mug, as well as that one they've done this Santa one, which I wasn't going to get but I thought why not collect them every year and have a little set.

I basically tell myself anything when shopping haha. I had to go into Lush and pick up a back up of this little guy, I love him so much he's so cute, I can see myself buying a lot of these over the next few weeks to stock up as they're limited edition. You can see my Lush post about the Christmas Collection - HERE.

Nicola from Pixiwoo mentioned the Avon Super Shock Gel Liner in Flash in a video back in the summer, so when I got my Avon catalogue through with a sale brochure in it. Which then had this in it, I had to order it! Not quite sure what I'll use it with as it really is just exactly that pearlescent pink shade...

I have been wanting the Rimmel Stay Glossy in Non Stop Glamour ever since I saw it on Tanya Burr's Kim Kardashian tutorial, I swatched it in store and have been desperate to get it, but its never been something I picked up. But now I have it and its beautiful! It's not as orange as it seems in that picture though.

Maybelline are currently 3 for 2 in boots and you also get the Limited Edition Cherry Velvet Baby Lips Lip Balm when you do the 3 for 2, so how could I say no! After seeing swatches on other blogs of the Baby Lips in Pink Punch and Cherry Me I picked them up and I've been loving Cherry Me at the moment.

Then the rose gold aspect of the Colour Show Brocades Nail Varnish in Knitted Gold just made me want to have it, I haven't used it yet but its so sparkly and looks great for Christmas!

I've been wanting to fill up my 15 Pan Pro Palette for ages now, but seeing as I have a Pro Card that I can only use at free standing Pro Stores and no Pro Store near me, I've refrained from buying any until I got my discount! But when Debenhams had 10% and I had £5 on my beauty card, I had to get Cranberry after being recommended it by so many bloggers!

Then after wanting to recreate Tanya Burr's MAC Palette I swatched mulch! Why did I not get it sooner! Its probably my favourite brown shade for this time of year and has saved me from mixing three other shadows together to get the same shade!

I love my Real Techniques Buffing Brush, but seeing as it's not sold separately and I've heard so much about the Expert Face Brush, I got one! I can see this becoming a new favourite, so don't be surprised if it shows up in a monthly favourites once I finally start using it! (It looks too nice to get dirty!)

Then one of the girls at college has the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge so yep I ended up with that too, I was going to get it when it first came out, but I don't like sponges very much. I've never tried a beauty blender and I love Real Techniques so why not start off with this one!

(Swatches: Left to Right - Flash, Non Stop Glamour, Cherry Me, Pink Punch, Cranberry and Mulch)

I think its safe to say I have to stop shopping... Also let me know if you'd like to see any posts about maybe empties? or products I regret buying?

Illamasqua Fatale Palette!

Hi Guys,

In my Gift Guide for Her - HERE, I said I'd do a review on the Illamasqua Fatale Palette! So here it is, Sorry my posts have been quite random recently and not very well finished, I'm going to be improving the past week's blog posts in the next day or two! Just with starting a new job I've not had much time to do blogging!

I was hoping to do a look with this palette to show you, but again with the new job I've not been able to, If you'd like to see one though just let me know in the comments below and I'll try to get one up!

The Fatale Palette is part of the new Envy Christmas Range for 2013, Its very different to what Illamasqua have done before with palettes due to the finish of the shadows. They are rather shimmery which for past Illamasqua palettes the shadows have been almost like a cream or matte, not all four being shimmery.

You cant help but love the Illamasqua Packaging! It comes in such a sturdy plastic case with a massive mirror! This is great for just over all touching up your make up on the go so it saves you having to carry a separate mirror!

Bronx - Bronze Gold
Ensnare - Berry / Red
Charm - Violet
Mystify - Chestnut Brown

Even though the palette looks quite scary its also extremely wearable and great for this time of year. Both Bronx and Ensnare look great together for a gold and red Christmas eye, or Bronx and Charm together for a gold and purple one. Plus the shade Bronx and Mystify look great for a smoky eye as well as Mystify and Ensnare together! There is so many combinations!

(Swatches: Left to Right - Bronx, Ensnare, Charm and Mystify)

This is definitely out of my neutral comfort zone but I really do love it! It's amazing how wearable it actually is, I can see me wearing it a lot over the next few weeks!
