Dior Addict Ultra Gloss

Hi Everyone,

The other week I made a sneaky purchase in the form of a Dior Lip gloss, I probably shouldn't of, but it was just sat there screaming "buy me buy me!", how could I say no! Miss Glamorazzi loves these glosses, so when I saw them with 30% off, I knew one had to be mine. Plus the fact Mr Pattinson is now the face of Dior Homme also drew me in....

Firstly I have to say, THE PACKAGING! This is one of those products you just want to whip out of the handbag and show off, its just got such a luxurious look and feel to it.
I picked up the shade 464 Pink Croisette, It's a beautiful light peach pink colour (Sorry my camera has picked it up as orange in the pictures), which is very sheer but you still get that hint of colour, be warned though it does have a lot of shimmer, You cant feel it though so that's a bonus! I hate that grainy feel of glittery glosses.

There also seems to be different types of Ultra Glosses, Pink Croisette is a Flash Gloss.
(Swatches: Left to Right - 464 swatched, 464 on my lips and the applicator wand/brush)

Now turns out without even realising until researching into where to buy this gloss a few minutes ago, This shade is actually from the Summer 2012 Collection, Sorry this shade is no longer available, but after surfing around it seems to be a close dupe to NARS Orgasm Lip gloss (it is slightly more peachy than Pink Croissette though). So if your looking for this shade that's probably your best bet!

However I still think these are lovely glosses so - here is the link to the rest of the shades you can get. I now find myself eyeing up the red one in 853 Rouge Defendu... Plus sorry again for this being limited edition!

I ❤ Summer Tag

Hi Everyone,

I kept meaning to do this tag, since Miss Glamorazzi came up with it a while ago, but never got round to it, even though summer is nearly coming to an end here in the UK, I thought I'd do the Tag anyway seeing as I'd done the Spring one. Plus it lets you see products I might not of mentioned in my favourites and things like that.

1. Favourite bronzer for summer?

I don't usually wear Bronzer as I'm like Caspar the Ghost (MAC NW10), But I got the So Susan (Jelly Pong Pong) Brazilian Sun Bronzer at the Clothes Show Live and I love it, Its perfect for my pale skin when you use a little bit, So I've been introduced to something new this summer too!

2. You're relaxing in a hammock, on a tropical island. What are you sipping on? (Favourite summer drink)

It's going to have to be Fanta Peach and Apricot, its limited edition so when they stop making it at the end of summer I think I'll cry, If you can get it and haven't tried it yet, Try It!

3. Favourite summer lip product?

Just like the Spring Tag it's a MAC Lipstick, This time in Girl About Town, Its a dark and bright blue toned fuchsia pink, It's Bold, But isn't that what summer is for? Bold statement lips? Even if it isn't I'll wear it anyway.

4. Pool or Beach?

Pool for sure! I used to always be swimming, plus it keeps you cooler as I cant hack hot weather, So sitting on a beach wouldn't end well, Plus the UK doesn't exactly have the best beaches ever...

5. Summer = crazy hair! What's your must-have styling product?

I am extremely lazy when it comes to my hair, It takes up too much time, but I do find it is frizzy as anything so over the past few summer months I've been using John Frieda Frizz-Ease Thermal Protection Hair Serum, My hair does seem better once using it so it must be doing something right, plus it smells amazing!

6. Sun bathing or fake tan?

Neither I must be the only person in the world who loves being pale! I have tried one fake tan recently though, but I don't think it'll be a regular occurrence.

7. Favourite summer nail polish?

So not to go with the same polish from my spring tag, I've gone for the colour I've been wearing quite a lot recently, is a Sinful Color's Polish in Island Coral, Its just a more pinky coral shade, It would look great with a tan, dries quickly and lasts quite well, It's just one of those summer colours.

8. Any summer traditions?

Not really, Unless Birthday's count, other than that I've never really had any that spring to mind.

9. Favourite summer scent?

Again just like the spring tag, It's another Body Shop fragrance, Its discontinued (Body shop please! Please! Please bring this back!)

10. Favourite BBQ food?

I doubt this counts, But this summer Ive been obsessed with Nando's, Lemon and Herb is the best (❤), All though for BBQ food nothing can beat a Cheese Burger!.... Now this question has made me hungry!

11. What's your favourite summer-proof product?

Illamasqua Brow Cake, It's amazing, It hardly budges! You definitely don't have to worry about sliding brows! Plus I think this will last me for the next three summers, I've hardly dented it!

12. Any summer vacation plans this year? No plans? Tell us about your dream summer trip!

No Plan's this summer, I'd love to go to New York or Paris, Hopefully that might happen soon but probably not in the summer!

I Tag you all to do this Tag! Plus remember to leave me a comment when you've done it, I'd love to read them plus discover new blogs!

Maybelline Baby Lips

Hi Everyone!,

The Maybelline Baby Lips have finally landed in the UK!, These have to be one of the most hyped up beauty products ever and its taken it I think a year to arrive in the UK. Finally! So of course I have fallen for the hype and had to go pick some up to try for myself.

Maybelline have released six of the baby lips in the UK, The names like usual have changed on one of them, Hydrate (Known as Quenched in America), Mint Fresh (Which is known as Peppermint), Then there is Intense Care, Peach Kiss, Pink Punch, Cherry Me and I'm a bit disappointed Grape Vine never made it over to the UK though.
I decided to get Mint Fresh, Peach Kiss and Hydrate. I did want to get Pink Punch and Cherry Me but both were out of stock. Mint Fresh of course tastes and smells like peppermint, Peach Kiss again smelling like peach, I wouldn't say it tastes much like peach though. Then Hydrate smells like orange to me, but its in fact lemon and basil, You can kinda taste that though when its on.
Both Mint Fresh and Hydrate are clear balms, They have SPF 20 in them too, Unlike Peach Kiss which is tinted and doesn't have an SPF, They Claim to have eight hours worth of moisture in each use, That's definitely not the case, I found myself wanting to apply more of the Hydrate balm after an hour and a half, They probably last two hours at the most before topping up.
Peach Kiss comes out as a nude peach subtle colour, with quite a sheen to it. It's not got any where near the pigmentation of something like the Revlon Lip Butters, but these are just a balm, Its a nice everyday colour, perfect for school. I tried to swatch it but 1) My iPhone camera didn't really pick it up and 2) It's still rather sheer.

They are currently on 3 for 2 in Boots in the UK just now - Here, For £2.99 they're really not that bad, they just claim more to be more moisturising than they actually are.

I think I'll pick up Pink Punch and Cherry Me for those days that you just want a bit of a tint, Both of those colours do seem to be a bit more pigmented though anyway. Plus I forgot to mention they incredibly cute packaging! That definitely pulls you in. I like them, I don't love them but neither do I hate them, They're good for the price and the tinted colours are quite nice, I'd recommend trying one if you like the sheer balm type products.

What do you all think of them? Is it another over hyped product?

August GlossyBox

Hi Everyone!,

My GlossyBox arrived on Saturday, After the Success of the last few and this months theme, High Flyers, I was really looking forward to this box! Sorry this month's pictures aren't that great as well, I'm not sure what's happened I just cant seem to get them right!
In this month's GlossyBox Magazine, There's an interview with GlossyBoxes brand new CEO, Who also mentions some "super surprises and treats" coming up soon which sounds exciting! Hopefully this might mean constant good GlossyBoxes instead of being up and down each month.

I'd seen a sneak peak of the box on Facebook and that product I definitely love!
To be honest when I first opened the box I wasn't wow'ed, It seemed quite light compared to past boxes which worried me but on further inspection this box isn't really that bad!

The box includes products from around the world, Which fits the High Flyers theme, the products are also suppose to be travel friendly so you can take them away with you on your summer holidays.
1) Urban Veda Daily Radiance Facial Wash: Full Size - £7.99
The words facial wash worry my slightly opposed to cleanser, facial wash makes me think soap, which then makes me think bad for the face. However it does say natural skincare, it claims to balance the skin and naturally brighten, which I like as it could be great for dull skin. Plus it smells great, I'm intrigued to give this a try. This product also seems to be from India, To tie in with the around the world theme.

2) Jelly Pong Pong 2 in 1 Shadow/Liner in Black - £10.50
This is the UK product of the box, I do love Jelly Pong Pong, I've had quite a few really good products from them, I'm quite glad I got this product in the Black shade. Checking their website as well this seems to be a new launch too. Its not the softest pencil in the world, but it blends nicely and I'll probably get some use out of it. I do think it might be slightly over priced though.

3) Oceane Make Up Remover Pen - Unknown
This product from Brazil baffles me slightly, You cant actually buy it in the UK... Plus I cant say I'm a big fan of these types of things, I've had them in the past they're okay but I cant say I'd repurchase it anyway. The old clean up with a cotton bud works just as well, I guess this is a great product to touch up on the go though and just throw in your bag for emergencies.

4) Emite Make Up Eyelash Curler - £20
This is the sneak peek on Facebook! I was so excited to see these in my box, My usual eyelash curlers are £1.50 from Primark, So having a more expensive pair is such a treat! From Sweden developed for make up artists, These curlers have been designed to fit most eye shapes and not ruin the eye make up. I have to say I've used these once or twice now and I do notice such a difference from my Primark curlers!

5) Tresemme Keratin Smooth Treatment Shot: 15ml - £1.49
The USA product of the box, I've seen these in Boots before and I've been intrigued again with this, but never picked it up. So now I finally get to try it, It seems to help with my frizzy issues which I definitely need! But The packaging annoys me slightly, I'm not sure I'd use the treatment in one go, so I wish it was resealable.
(Swatches: Left to Right - Jelly Pong Pong 2 in 1 Shadow/Liner in Black, Jelly Pong Pong 2 in 1 Shadow/Liner in Black Blended Out)

This box is ok but I cant say its the best box I've had, I love the eyelash curlers though! I'm sure I'll use the tresemme shot and the jelly pong pong eyeshadow and eyeliner pencil too, I hope next month's box is a bit better because the past few boxes have been great.

What have you thought about this months box?

New Clinique Launches and Free Gift Offer!

Hi Everyone,

The other week I went to a Clinique Event at my local boots, To see the new eye's range before its official release. I also thought id do this post to let you know about the current Clinique offer at Boots. I just want to say I've not been asked to do this, But I loved the free gift so much I thought it would be a shame not to tell you all about it.
Clinique have Re-Launched their eye shadows, Intensified their Quickliners and brought out a new eye-shadow primer!
The All About Shadow Primer for Eyes (£15), is the first eye primer I think Clinique have done, On the night I couldn't actually have a look at these because they hadn't arrived yet which is a shame but they're now out and available in four different shades. Id like to see how these fair against Urban Decay's Primer Potion, I'm always on the hunt for a good eye-shadow primer!

Luckily the new Intense Quickliners for Eyes (£15) were there, Id seen these a while ago on a few blogs and I could of sworn there was a pale pink in the collection. But after studying them closely I couldn't find anything like what I thought Id seen. It does come in seven other shades though, Plus you don't even have to sharpen it! I found they were really soft when playing around with them, it doesn't set very quickly though, which is a good thing if you want to smudge it out. On the plus side they are really pigmented, which I think makes up for the tiny setting time.
The eye-shadows have been re formulated, as they haven't had a re vamp in quite a while. The old shadows had hardly any pigment in some, it was a bit hit and miss but the new shadows pack a lot more pigment! They're being re launched in Singles (£16), Duo's (£22) and then Quad's (£28). I have my eye on the Starlight Starbright Duo. Even though I probably have those colours somewhere else, In my black hole of eye shadows, they look so pretty, of course I "need" them!

Plus if you buy any two products from Clinique just now, I think one has to be skincare though. You get a free gift, I'm not usually phased by this kind of thing, but this free gift is really good!

You get inside:
Liquid Facial Soap Mild for Dry Combination - 30ml
All About Eyes 7ml
Moisture Surge - 15ml
A Different Nail Enamel in what I think is Pinkini - 4ml
Long Last Wear Glosswear SPF 15 in 08 Guava Gold - 2.3ml
High Impact Mascara in 01 Black - 2ml
Plus the cutest set of mini nail files and a make up bag!
(Swatch - Long Last Wear Glosswear SPF 15 in 08 Guava Gold)

Look at the size of the Moisture Surge Samples and All About Eyes! I was shocked, They're really quite generous samples! Sorry I forgot to swatch the nail polish too, I've only just realised!

Hopefully this will let you all know about the new offer at Clinique, Sorry its only for the UK as I know of though, But I'm sure the All About Eye's Range is available outside of the UK though, So I hope it gave you all an insight into the new range!

MUA One Direction Little Things

Hi Everyone,

I thought I'd review a "little" boy bands make up line today, after trying to track down bits from it for a week or so. I've finally got my hands on some of the One Direction bits!
The One Direction by MUA line contains five lipsticks, five lip polishes and five nail polishes, each one for a different member of the band. Then there is also three cheek tints too, plus I noticed that there'll also be a few nail art bits added hopefully later on to the line! These are the few bits I got:
Firstly two of the lipsticks in Be Mine (Harry) and Moments (Niall), Be Mine being a blue toned red. When you do look at it in the tube though it does look to have a slight red sort of shimmer to it, But that doesn't show when worn. Then Moments is more of a pinky nude colour, great for just everyday wear. Both lipsticks are very pigmented, Plus how cute is the engravings on the lipsticks! I see a slight MAC resemblance in the packaging though...

Then I have the Niall Loves... Cherry Lip Polish, MUA did these before in different shades for the Love Heart Collection. I loved them then, I love them now. This is a fuchsia shade, it's pigmented for a sheer product, I also don't find the lip polishes sticky, which is always a plus! The taste reminds me of a cherry bakewell, which I like but others might not.
I picked up one of the cheek tints, The pigmentation of these is amazing! Really the swatch below is one swipe!! This is the shade Rose Riot, Which is like a nude rose shade, it has a slight sheen but blends lovely into the skin. Its a very day time wearable shade, when using a little bit, which could be built up too for a stronger look.

Then finally I picked up a Little Things Nail Polish in Fuchsia Frenzy (Harry), I have to be honest the fact this was Harry drew me in, plus it is a shade I will definitely wear too. I only needed two coats, Which dried pretty quickly. Plus I much prefer this nail polish packaging to the MUA £1 line, The brush is a bazillion times better!
(Swatches: Bottom to Top - Be Mine Lipstick, Moments Lipstick, Rose Riot Cheek Tint, Niall Loves... Cherry Lip Polish. Then on the Right - Fuchsia Frenzy Little Things Nail Polish)

Each product is very affordable too, A bit more expensive than the other MUA bits, But still affordable.

Lipstick's - £3, here.
Lip Polishes - £2.50, here.
Cheek Tint's - £3, here.
Nail Polishes - £3, here.

This collection from MUA has to be one of the most talked about and most wanted collection ever, I Like One Direction but I'm no super fan, (Even if I did pick the nail polish for Harry). A lot of people didn't seem to like the collection if you weren't a One Direction fan, but really! If you can get over the one direction names, these are amazing for the price and I will definitely be getting more!

What are your favourite bits from the new One Direction Make up line? Plus what do you think about it?

July Favourites

Hi Everyone,
Sorry this is so late this month and the very huge lack of blog posts last month, I've either been rally busy, redecorating, unwell or all of them at the same time. But I have lots of blog posts planed this month! As its my Birthday this month I was planning on uploading a post every other day. I've started a bit late now but hopefully there'll be lots of posts this month!
Last Month's Favourites seem to include a few new ones and a few old ones, I haven't really worn much make up as id been unwell, so its very basic make up, I have been loving nail art though .
I mentioned in my June Favourites that id been loving the MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer, Which is now Discontinued *insert very sad face here*. However I picked up the MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW15 at Imat's and its the only concealer I've been using, Its got good coverage and lasts well especially in the past heatwave.

A old favourite is the YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation , Before I think I liked it mixed with other foundations, But I've been wearing it just on its own recently and I've loved it, Its nearly thrown me off of buying Nars Sheer Glow! It just looks like skin! I am going to start a bit of a foundation series though so Im not going to go into too much detail about this till then.

I'm back in love with the red lip again! So I'm back to my old faithful NYX Matte Lip Cream in San Paulo. I love these. Last's really well, doesn't particularly dry out my lips, love the colour, I'm Basically in love with a lipstick.
This is a bit of a different brush to apply eye liner with but I've been loving The Real Techniques Accent Brush. I've just found it's been great with powder shadow, just on the end of the brush, just pushed into the lashes. It's more natural and a different way to use such an already multitasking brush.

I've got more into nail art in the last month, these pens have been what's probably gotten me back into it. They are so easy to use and just overall last well, I did a review of these when I first got them - here.
(Swatches: Left to Right - MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW15, YSL foundation in BR20, NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paulo. Plus a few nail art designs with Barry M Nail Art Pens.)

Hopefully there'll be lots of new blog posts coming this month as I have a lot to blog about! Let me know in the comments if there is anything you would like to see my blog about too!

What have been your favourites this month too?
