Illamasqua HydraVeil

Hi Everyone,

Today I finally have my review on the new Illamasqua Hydra Veil, Now if you've read my summer beauty post you'll know this is the one thing out of the Paranormal collection I was desperate to get my hands on! However it sold out in 2 hours in Manchester *super sad face*, But luckily I got my hands on it in Sheffield!
This is a first for Illamasqua and the Beauty World has had to recreate a category for it, As its not skincare or make up, so its got its on little category as cosmetic care. It basically creates a smoother base for your foundation  Its a "quick fix", Unlike skincare that takes weeks to start working, The Hydra Veil instantly works. It works amazingly with the Skin Base foundation, as its so hydrating.

It contains Anti-Oxidant Marine Algae, I cant say that I know what that is but it sounds interesting. It also evens out the Skin tone and reduces Redness, So I think I'm going to have found a new love in this.
I love the packaging, Its so sturdy and clip locks, I guess you could say. Plus the little spoon to scoop the product out with is so cute!

You literally need the tiniest amount for your entire face, I was a bit dubious about this, I thought how on earth can so little go so far. But it really does! You only need a little spoonful and then apply it with a brush, as it is so hydrating as soon as you put it on the skin it just soaks it right up! I apply it with a Real Techniques   pointed foundation brush from the core collection.
Now for one of the most amazing parts, Its self levelling! I could literally mush it up and watch it re-level for hours. I'm not sure how it does it, But I get rather annoyed with creams that don't do this now, I think I'm a bit obsessive over it now.
I think this really could become a firm favourite of mine, It feels amazing on and helps with dry patches! Hallelujah! I think Illamasqua have come up with yet another winner here!

You can get hold of it here for £27.00.

Have you tried the Hydra Veil? Leave a comment on it or just about Illamasqua, I'd love to hear your views!

  1. Howdy this is somewhat of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding skills so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
