End of Summer Fashion & Beauty Haul

Hi Guys,

I like to think of this as my bargain haul, it makes it that bit more justifiable haha. But at the same time a lot of the things I picked up, I cant believe the prices that I got them for and what is out there that's great copies of more expensive items.
I also have been on the hunt for some more clothing items for college and a pair of boots for autumn. As well as a few bits for my kit and I just couldn't help but pick up a couple of beauty bits for myself.
I havent shopped in Primark for clothing properly in a while, as my local one stresses me out way too much with how busy and messy it gets. However I managed to get a quiet few minutes and found two fantastic Topshop dupes. I've been trying to find a Sleeveless Jacket for college and the one in Topshop swamps me, but this one is perfect, its a lightweight material but isn't too flimsy. I also picked up the Lace Bralet, Ive been trying to get the Topshop equivalent that sold out since last year, so to see this one in Primark seemed to be a miracle.
I loved the knee high boot trend last year, but all of them seemed to have really high heels on them. At 6' I don't really tend to want to be that much taller, but as soon as I spotted the  Topshop Cocktail Knee High Boots  I was in love. Luckily the heel on these isn't actually very high, despite appearances, so I don't feel or look that much taller. They are a really comfy boot once on, however I did have to go two shoe sizes up, so I'm not sure what's up with Topshop's sizes...

I also picked up the Tall Ribbed Midi Dress for college, its just a basic kind of dress but I think its a versatile one to have, you can wear it in most seasons. Plus its really comfortable on, which I don't usually find with these body con type of dresses and of course its also from their tall range, so it actually fits me for once!
TK Maxx has some amazing bargains in store just now, which I couldn't believe when I went in. The amount of brands that are being stocked from Stila to Nuxe, which I almost walked away with just because they were such a bargain. I tried to restrain myself but in the end went for the Real Techniques Collectors Liner Set, which I haven't been able to find in the UK anywhere, so it is surprising to see it in there!

I also picked up some polishes in Butter London Knackered, which again I couldn't believe my eyes. Ive wanted this shade since seeing it on Fleur De Force's Blog, many moons ago, but I could never justify spending £12 on it back then. So how could I say no to it when it was only £3.99! I also picked up the OPI Fifty Shades of Grey Set, which I've wanted to try after falling head over heels for some of the darker greys from swatches. But I always find OPI so expensive over here, so it was nice to see it a little cheaper for once!

I also had to grab a few bits just to add to my Pro Kit, to organise it a little more I picked up a MAC 15 Shadow Insert. But I've since found out the shadows I was hoping to put in it, don't actually fit... I also got the Natural Collection Lip Liners in Cinnamon, Ruby Rose and Almond, after hearing Jamie Genevieve rave about them and Im always on the hunt for new lip liners to add to my kit.
Probably my favourite TK Maxx find is this Illamasqua Mystery Makeup Set, its actually one that they did exclusively for Sephora. The actual price for the set when you add together every product works out to £97 which is fantastic value for the price TK Maxx currently has it for. You're also guaranteed to get the Nail Polish in Milf and Sheer Lip Gloss in Lily Rose.
Finally I seem to of developed a new obsession for collecting Vinyl's. Especially if they're from Hurts, if you've seen my monthly favourites you'll know I'm currently a tad obsessed with them. So I picked up Blind & Stay, which if you haven't already, you have to give them a listen!

I think I may need to stay away from TK Maxx for a while, even if it is filled with bargains, its addictive! The deals are just too good to leave behind...

  1. Wow - this is such a good haul! The Topshop boots are lovely - how odd that their sizes are off though. Is that with all Topshop shoes, or just those boots? I've never bought shoes from Topshop before so this is useful to know! The OPI shades look beautful, I only have one OPI polish but it's really nice. TK Maxx is amazing - but so bad for your bank account =p

    1. It's so strange about the sizes, I've got a pair of heels from them and they're a size 7 and a pair of flat shoes that are a 6. Its like a pick and mix of sizes!, but I've never been an 8 anywhere before. I think its just maybe always go up a size to try them. I love OPI, especially when they're in TK Maxx because they're usually so expensive! Though TK Maxx definitely is bad for the bank haha.

  3. An Illamasqua Mystery Makeup Set? WANT! That's such a fab idea. I love your Topshop boots. I'm kind of glad Summer's over. I'm more of an Ugg Boot and Hoody kind of girl.

  7. Great haul! I'm jealous of the bits you found in Primark, I can never seem to find things like that when I'm in.
Those boots are gorgeous too but I have little stump like legs so I'll continue to admire them from afar haha! xx
