Where Have I Been?!

Hi Guys,

This seems kind of strange to be writing again, its been so long! Four months to be exact! Can't believe it, but a lot has gone on and blogging sadly became a bit of a difficult task! Firstly I moved to a whole new Country, which resulted in me losing the cable for my camera, with all my blog photos being on the camera!

Due to moving I had to finish college quicker which was a bit hectic! But finally I've unpacked and found the elusive cable, YAY!

Also I got a new Domain name and hopefully a brand new blog design very soon!
I was off in London three times! Which was crazy and great fun, I love London and can't wait to go back next week!
First for One Direction, This just reinforced my love for Mr Harry Styles, I have no words other than he's hilarious and such an amazing singer in person even with a sore throat!

Then it was back again for Imats, Got to meet David Horne, The creator of the Illamasqua Products and Spob O'Brian, Plus Mark Bowles. I was thinking of doing a post on this, be sure to let me know if you'd like that.

Of course I had to pop into Selfridges while I was there, I loved the window display for the Blogger Girl Meets Bug. The pastel vintage style girls were so cute, not a massive fan of the huge bugs but ill excuse that for how amazing the rest of it is!

Lastly I was in London for Summer In the City, The British Convention/Meet Up for Youtubers, It was stressful, Involved queuing sometimes for 5-6 hours. Plus it was at Alexandra Palace a massive hill in London that was rather cold to stand outside and wait, team that with a massive thunder storm, meant I went to meet Jim Chapman looking like a drowned rat. It was amazing to meet people I've watched for years who have been such an inspiration, Just a little saddening that it was a bit poor in organisation.
There was also a last minute decision to go to T in the Park, By last minute I mean 1am we bought the tickets and at 5am we were up to go get the bus! It was an amazing time and I highly recommend it, just maybe get your tickets a little earlier... Disclosure were the highlight and Im so desperate to see them again, Bastille and the Kaiser Chiefs were also amazing!
I also turned 18 which equalled birthday cake, My mum got me one with Hobbie Stuart on, which I could barely eat because I wanted to keep it! Which is kinda weird.. I also got beautiful flowers from my Dad, Couldn't bear for them to die though.

Finally I also went back down south to go to the Sheffield Blogger Meet Up! Which was so much fun and was hosted by the lovely Siobhan from The Beauty Baker, It was so lovely to meet everyone too! I'm going to put a post up soon about the event, even if it is nearly two months late sorry!

I have lots of posts lined up so hopefully I won't be having a break from blogging like this for quite a while! I've definitely missed it and its good to be back!

Makeup Revolution Haul and Review!

Hi Guys,

I'm a little late to the whole Make up Revolution launch! But I wanted to wait until I'd used some of the products first and I thought I may as well do it for a College Assessment so I ordered these especially for my kit and I have to say They will be staying in there! Minus a few lipsticks that may end up in my make up bag...

What I love about Make Up Revolution is the variety and of course the price! But where else can you get a bright blue lipstick from for a pound! Its been compared to other brands such as MUA, Which yes there's a price similarity but the range from Make Up Revolution in my eyes is a lot broader.

Awesome Metals Eye Foil in Rose Gold and Magnificent Copper £4 each - HERE

These were the first things I picked up, I'm pretty sure these are a dupe for the Stila Magnificent Metal Foil Finish Eye Shadows, Now for £4 I wouldn't pay £24 for the Stila ones, Sorry Stilla!, as these are amazing!

You get a little mixing tray, the Awesome Liquid Eye Primer and the actual eye shadow, The shadow its self is so soft and creamy, they can be sheered out, which look so beautiful as well as being packed on. When sheered out it reminds me of the very sheen, gloss eyes that are around on all the catwalks recently.

I was a little confused by the eye primer as I thought it would be similar to the Illamasqua Mixing medium, but I think I'd definitely use it as a primer and the Illamasqua one as a mixing medium.

Scandalous Lipstick Collection £4 - HERE

These aren't going to be everyone's cup of tea, but for me starting to build a pro kit, these are perfect! I must admit I'm not entirely sure about the yellow, but these would be great for editorial looks. I love how they're o different to anything anyone else in this price range are doing, its such an easy way to experiment with colour without having to shell out £15+ to try this.

They're the same formula as all the other lipsticks, so if the others are as super pigmented, soft and long lasting as these are I think I need to add a few more to the collection.

I bought these as a whole collection, so you pay £4 Instead of £5, basically getting one free, you can buy them separate though if there's colours you don't want.

Vamp Lipstick Collection £2 - HERE

Over the winter I've gotten more into the darker lipstick shades, Maybe its not around the right time of year for these at the moment for me, but for just £2 I had to pick them up. They're just as creamy and pigmented as the Scandalous Collection, I don't find them to drag at all too. Plus the middle shade, Rebel with a Cause, is a dupe for MAC Rebel!

The only problem I have with all the lipsticks is that the lids come off some very easily but when they're a pound I cant really complain, the other thing is that the coloured end doesn't come off like with the MUA lipsticks.

Again because I bought them as a collection I got one free, you can by them separate too.

(Swatches: Left to Right: Vamp Collection in Black Heart, Rebel with a Cause, 100% Vamp, Scandalous Collection in Crime, Depraved, Felony, Vice, Immoral, Eye Foils in Rose Gold and Magnificent Copper.)

I thought I'd add in a picture of the eye make up that I did with the Foil effect shadows, Unfortunately taking it with my iPhone has meant its not the best quality but it gives you an idea of what they're like.

I would definitely recommenced checking out Make Up Revolution, I've seen a lot of talk about their dupes for the Urban Decay Naked Palettes and Electric Palette plus maybe some MAC Mineralise Skin Finish Dupes too! I can see another order happening maybe haha!

MAC Warm Neutral Palette!

Hi Guys,

Firstly sorry about the lack of posting again, moving house and trying to complete my college course has made everything suddenly very busy! I do have lots of posts planned and I'm really going to try to write them in advance for you too! Plus I may have a Blog Sale with a few bits popping up very soon!

I'll stop rambling and get onto the post I am such an MAC Addict, that as soon as I saw these I could of cried with joy, MAC have finally joined onto the neutral palette bandwagon.

MAC have released two pre filled 15 pro pan palettes, a warm version and a cool version, I was only able to get my hands on the warm version as the cool one seems to of been extremely popular. I can see why though as the palettes are pre filled with popular permanent shades and re promoted limited edition shades! They also offer a mix of finishes, including Veluxe Pearl, Satin, Frost, Lustre, Velvet and Matte, so there's lots to play around with.

Top Row: Hey, Warm Breeze, Gingersnap, Dark Brew, Dance in the Dark.
Middle Row: Brule, Vanilla Extract, Honey Lust, Amber Lights, Saddle.
Bottom Row: Lemon Tart, Butter Fudge, Creative Copper, Unwind, Divine Decadence.

The top row is definitely the more pink based one, I also don't think any of the shades are permanent, these would look great on blue and green eyes, all of the shades would in fact. Out of the shades on the middle row I know, Brule, Amber Lights and Saddle are permanent. Then again the bottom row has no permanent shades.

The shades are very pigmented, maybe not so much with Hey and Brule but I think they're more highlight and base shades so I don't mind that. The shades like Amber Lights, Unwind and Divine Decadence are really creamy and work beautifully.

The other plus side to this palette as well as it being filled with tons of amazing limited edition shades, is the price. At £65, which may seem like quite a lot due to the Naked Palettes being £35. But to buy one MAC eye shadow is £10 and the case and insert works out to £20, so to build this palette yourself it would cost £170!!! That's saving £105.

I think the two palettes would be great for Make up artists, beauty addicts and just people starting out too, it offers so much choice and there's so many looks that could be created! I think I will have to get my hands on the cool palette, if its anything like this one I "need" it in my life haha!

Easter with Lush!

Hi Guys,

I'm a little late with this post, with a lot of posts actually, sorry for the absence of over a month now, which I can't believe it's been that long. I've been unwell for quite a while now and I'm also moving house, so as well we that fast tracking through college to get finished early, it's been super busy so my blog has been very neglected sorry! I'm also currently on a train to Glasgow as I write this, but hopefully I've got lots of blog posts coming up over the week!

But I thought seeing as its almost Easter and I'm a Lushie? (Lush addict? Does that even exist haha) I picked up a few bits for their Easter range and one from the Mother's Day range, that even though that's now passed its still on the website!

Secret Garden Bath Ballistic - £2.95 HERE

Firstly I picked up this bath ballistic from the Mother's Day range, I thought it was from the Easter one... I didn't think I'd like this after hearing about it, but once I smelt it, it's so good! It smells floral, mostly rose it says it also has orange in it too and turns the bath green in colour, I think its a really sweet looking thing and not very expensive compared to other Lush bath bombs.

Golden Egg Bath Melt Ballistic - £3.50 HERE

I was a bit confused over this one for two reasons, one there's already a bath ballistic called Dragons egg and two it's a bath bomb and melt in one. But it's pretty special, the golden glitter turns your bath into a golden shimmery tub of really moisturising goodness due to the bath melt too. It smells of caramel, it's actually the same scent as their popular Honey I Washed The Kids Range. Plus it creates bubbles too, it's like everything for your bath in one.

Bunny Bubble Bar - £3.25 HERE

Next up is probably the cutest bubble bar I've ever seen in lush, in the form of this adorable little bunny, it's so simple but it works really well. It smells of vanilla and reminds me if the butterball bath bomb, I didn't realise as well but it's inspired by Alice In Wonderland too!

Rose Bubble Bar - £2.95 HERE

This is the one thing from the Mothers Day range I meant to pick up haha, I just had to include it though as it's still available and is really lovely. As soon as I heard it's inspired by Beauty and the Beast (obsessed with the CW Beauty and the Beast series!) I had to have it. Again it's another bubble bar with a really subtle shimmer on top, it smells of roses of course too.

If you can still grab the Mother's Day bits in store then I really recommend to go and give them a sniff, definitely go sniff Dragons Egg too! Luckily the Mother's Day bits are still online! Hopefully i'll be back to uploading on a regular basis again this week too!
