London & IMATS Haul

Hi Guys,

Over the past weekend, I took a little bit of a mini break to go to London for IMATS. Which of course included a lot of shopping, which how can you not? I didn't really, well actually I did pick up a lot, but at IMATS and for what I was planning to buy I didn't pick up as much as I was going to. As I seemed to be cursed with everything I was looking for being out of stock!
I did also make a trip to Lush Oxford St, but I really did go crazy in there and Im going to do a separate post as it would make this one way too long!

As well as the beauty bits I picked up, I also picked up a few homeware and accessory pieces too. I also just want to add that the only reason I went on this large shopping spree was because I've been on a bit of a spending ban for a while, which is a lot harder than it seems haha.
We don't actually have a H&M store that stocks homeware in Glasgow, so of course as they've got so much copper in stock just now I had to make a trip to H&M. There were a lot of bigger bits I also wanted to get, but trying to get those back in the suitcase were a no go. So instead I picked up a few smaller bits in the form of a little Trinket Box and green & copper Tea Light Holders, which I thought I'd save for later on as I think they'd look lovely in the winter. I also got the Cushion Cover that everything is photographed on and what is apparently a dishcloth that says "Do more of what makes you happy", which Im actually going to frame and use as a print, as its tiny!
I also seemed to forget a lot of little bits when I was in London, including my Oyster Card, so I decided it was the perfect excuse to get a Rose Gold Card Holder, from Oliver Bonas. As well as a pair of Topshop Wilson Wayfarer Sunglasses, Ive had my eye on for a while.

Lastly homeware wise I picked up some Plastic Baskets from Muji to use to finish my makeup storage and some of their Hair Bobbles, which are in fact fantastic! I wish we had Muji in Glasgow as I would just be constantly buying more.
I knew as long as I was in London I had to pick up a nail polish by Nancy's Nails in Liberty. If you haven't seen the Liberty Tv program, the department store helped back a lovely girl called Nancy, nail polish line. I picked up the Scented Topcoat in Mango and Lime as its a little different to anything else I have.

Just next to Liberty there is also a fantastic little Pixi Beauty Store, who also had a sale on, so I picked up two Lid Last Shadow Pencils in Perfect Plum and Gilded Mink. As well as the Rose Roller Ball and a Travel Size Pixi Glow Tonic, as I was missing it on my travels!

I also picked up the Caudalie Grapewater, just as I wasn't a fan of how hot it was in London and this was a dream to spray on.
When I was at IMATS I had gone on the Sunday, so quite a few bits and pieces had sold out sadly and some stands didn't have the ranges I thought they would of. But I still managed to pick up a few bits and pieces Ive had my eyes on for a while!

I firstly went to NARS, who were offering 30% single permanent products and 40% off of gift sets, so I grabbed the Roman Holiday set, which includes the Lipstick, Miniature Blush and Nail Polish.

I also went over to the Love Makeup and Guru Makeup Emporium stands, both with 20% off and picked up a pair of #4 House of Glamdoll's Lashes and the OCC Lip Tar in Black Dahlia.

Two brands I was really hoping to get things from were MAC, which I finally picked up the correct shade of Face and Body and the very raved about Pro Longwear Concealer. The other brand was Sugarpill, who I really wanted to get Penelope Pigment from, but sadly it was out of stock, so I got the peach shade, Charmy. As well as two of the polishes that you cant get in the UK called Angel Cake and Cloud Castle.

The only massive disappointment for me at IMATS was NYX, as I queued for an hour and a half, for everything I wanted to be out of stock, so I grabbed the Butter Gloss in Apple Strudel and the Soft Matte Lip Cream in Addis Ababa, as I wasn't leaving with nothing after that!

Lastly I went over to the Kiss Cosmetics stand, who were absolutely lovely and were running a great little promotion that if you took a selfie using their new Colour Switch, which debuted at IMATS early, its actually released on friday! Then upload the selfie to Instagram, you could get a mini Lip Vinyl, so I chose the shade First Kiss.

Let me know if theres anything you'd like to see a review of separately of the things I picked up, as I will happily go into more detail on them.

  1. You got some great bits! For the last few years I've seen people going to IMATS and every year I promise myself I'll make plans to get the year after & always miss it! Think next year I HAVE to make plans to take the trip!

Can't wait to see what else you picked up in your separate post :)

  2. Ahh what!? Discounted NARS? I'd go mental! I never think to go to things like this but they sound like an absolute ball... yet judging by your haul my back account probably doesn't agree!!
